Dr. Tony Price

Tony has a PhD in novel particle detection methods and a Masters degree in Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology, both gained at the University of Birmingham. His PhD work focused on measuring the electromagnetic showers induced by high energy electrons at future linear colliders using a silicon calorimeter with digital readout. He currently works as a Research Fellow for the PRaVDA Consortium with the goal of capturing a proton Computed Tomography image. His current tasks include simulating the final system and testing the response of the CMOS sensors. Coupled with his interest in particle detection and medical imaging Tony has a fond interest in Astronomy and nuclear physics.
